Participants learn about teamwork, responsibility, and developing the right mindset when it comes to money, work, and opportunity. The goal is to equip young people with the knowledge and confidence they need to avoid unhealthy debt and pursue entrepreneurial paths.
Team Market
Learning from farm to market.
Team Market connects youth with the process of growing, producing, and selling goods through the Emerson Farmhouse Market & Café. Participants learn how food moves from the farm to the marketplace and gain a deeper understanding of sustainable living.
This program also introduces young people to entrepreneurship. By being involved in the market experience, they gain hands-on exposure to business, responsibility, and the value of hard work.
Team Build
Hands-on skills that create opportunity.
Team Build gives youth practical experience in building and craftsmanship. Through projects like tiny home transitional housing, greenhouse construction, landscaping, and upcycling, participants develop real-world skills.
The program helps young people grow in areas such as carpentry, problem solving, and teamwork while opening the door to future trade careers and entrepreneurial opportunities.
Team AG
Agricultural education for the next generation.
Team AG, based at Emerson Acres, teaches youth the fundamentals of agriculture and food production. Participants learn how to grow food, care for the land, and develop the skills needed to support themselves and their communities.
This program helps young people build confidence, independence, and a strong understanding of agriculture as both a life skill and a potential career path.
